Wands for Wildlife

HES students are collecting old mascara wands to help support wildlife rehabilitation. A wildlife rehabilitation nonprofit in western North Carolina recycles old mascara wands to help remove fly eggs and larvae from the fur of animals. They work great because the bristles are close together and gentle to use on the injured and orphaned wild animals receiving care. Before donating…
