School Improvement Plan

Classroom Learning Communities

At Hammond Elementary we focus on building a sense of community within the classrooms and getting to know the students as individuals. Time has been built into the schedule throughout the school day related to classroom learning communites.  This time affords the staff the opportunity to help create connections and provides a classroom environment that will enable students to excel cognitively, personally and socially.

Together, we can build a positive future for our children!

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

The staff of Hammond Elementary School is focused on working with students and their families to promote a safe and nurturing environment in all school settings. We have three school rules which are reinforced daily.

  • Be respectful
  • Be responsible
  • Be ready to learn

When the school rules are followed, students have an opportunity to be recognized for their efforts by receiving Tuffy Tickets from any member of the school staff.
