Dear HES Families,
At Hammond Elementary School, we believe that success begins in elementary school, and students are never too young to start thinking about their future. The habits, curiosity, and love of learning that children build during these early years lay the foundation for the opportunities they will have later in life.
Education plays a critical role in helping students discover their strengths, interests, and passions. When children begin to see how what they learn in school connects to real-world careers and goals, it helps them stay motivated and excited about learning.
Next week, our students will be learning more about different careers and career pathways. Through classroom conversations and activities, students will explore the many possibilities that education can open for them in the future. Our goal is to help students begin to imagine what they might want to be when they grow up and understand how the skills they are learning today will help them reach those dreams.
We encourage you to continue these conversations at home by talking with your child about your own career, the importance of education, and the many different paths people can take to achieve their goals.
