Take a look at the fun activities students did for STEM Week!
In technology, students participated in “Hour of Code." “Hour of Code” is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Anyone, anywhere can organize an “Hour of Code” event. “Hour of Code” is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. You can find out more about “Hour of Code” by visiting http://hourofcode.com You can also visit Canvas and check out your student’s technology course in the courses tab. After going to courses and technology, click on “pages” on the left, then “view all pages”, and then “Hour of Code!” Kindergarten students also got to explore a robot named "Dash" who uses code to move, talk, and dance!
In Media, Kindergarteners built marble tracks to showcase their STEM skills. Great job Kinders! Perhaps we have some future scientists in the making!

In Media, 1st grade classes got to practice "eating like a bird," and then made predictions about what kinds of food different beaks can collect!
In Media, 2nd grade classes read, "The Three Little Pigs and the Somewhat Bad Wolf." Students then built their own house for the three little pigs and tested it out with the Somewhat Bad Wolf, a blow dryer!
