In collaboration with Media, Kindergarten students created videos utilizing Aurasma in technology class.  The videos have to do with author Mo Willems and his wonderful books.  Aurasma lets pictures come alive!  By utilizing the app Aurasma for Apple and Android devices, movies pop out of pictures.  When you load the Aurasma app onto your device and hold your device up to a picture, a movie will appear. 

First you must download the Aurasma app.  Below are directions on how to follow Mr. Parlette's and Mr. Walsh's Aurasma channels so you can see the movies.

Steps:

1. Launch the Aurasma app. You will be taken to the viewfinder, which also has the Aurasma menu, marked by the 'A' icon in the middle of the lower portion of the screen.

2. Click the Aurasma 'A' menu icon. You will notice a series of options along the bottom.

3. Choose the "Search" icon, which is designated by the magnifying glass. See below:

4. Type in the name of the account you are looking for. A list of relevant searches will pop up. 

You should follow mrparlette (no spaces) and also follow HESLaurel (no spaces).

5. Locate the account or Aura you are looking for and press "Follow."

After pressing "Follow," a pop up will appear alerting you that you are now following the desired content.

6. To see the Aurasma video, press the square symbol (bottom of your screen next to the magnifying glass) which should activate your camera.  Hold your device up to the photo in the HES Media Center and the video should appear like magic!
