November 16-20 marks the National Education Association’s 98th annual celebration of American Education Week.
American Education Week presents everyone with an opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every student receives a quality education.
In honor of American Education Week, we would like to cordially invite parents to visit their child’s classroom during the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) block on Monday (11/16), Tuesday (11/17), Thursday (11/19), or Friday (11/20) from 9:00-9:15 a.m.
Parents who are able to join the SEL block, we ask that you join by sitting with your child, as outside email addresses cannot be allowed into Google Meet sessions in order to ensure everyone’s safety.
To maintain a positive, productive learning environment and assure confidentiality for students and teachers during virtual learning, students and parents/guardians are asked to continue following the Google Meet guidelines and expectations detailed on the HCPSS website.
On Wednesday, November 18 teachers will share classroom goals with families to show how our students continue to “Rise to the Challenge” by adding class goals to their Wednesday announcements. Please be on the lookout for the interactive goal setting bulletin board.
We thank you for your support during this special visitation time. We know that both the teachers and your child, in particular, will be looking forward to your visit during American Education Week.
